Job Description

Our client based in Portlethen are looking for a Warehouse/Stores Person to join their team on a contract role.

Working within the Packing & Despatch department, this role is responsible for accurately preparing, packing, and shipping customer, third-party, and intercompany orders in a warehouse environment. The successful candidate will support general warehouse operations, maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping, and work collaboratively across warehouse functions to ensure operational requirements are met. Full training will be provided, with opportunities to develop skills in warehouse equipment operation and other areas of the warehouse.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work within the Packing & Despatch department to ensure customer, third-party, and intercompany orders are prepared accurately and shipped on time.
• Prepare materials for shipment using appropriate packing methods to ensure goods are protected and meet company and customer requirements.
• Verify shipment contents against pick lists, delivery notes, and shipping documentation to maintain accuracy.
• Ensure all shipments are labelled, packaged, and staged correctly for collection and transport.
• Work closely with other warehouse departments and carriers to support the smooth flow of goods through the facility.
• Assist in prioritising urgent shipments and maintaining delivery schedules in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Use warehouse systems and documentation accurately to support stock traceability and shipment tracking.
• Be willing to learn and undertake training to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, overhead cranes, and VNA trucks, and be comfortable working at heights should the role expand.
• Support general warehouse operations and assist other warehouse areas as required.
• Comply with all company Health, Safety & Environmental (HS&E) policies and warehouse procedures.
• Participate in the company Observation Reporting System to identify and report potential workplace hazards.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and organisation within the warehouse.
• Participate in the on-call rota and work reasonable overtime when required to support operational needs.
• Support the Warehouse Manager and Supervisors with additional duties as required.

• Willingness to undertake training and develop new skills as required within the role.
