Job Description
Tulloch Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Mechanic to support our client’s Wireline (WL) operations team in Aberdeen. This role is to cover long-term medical leave and requires a highly skilled, self-sufficient individual who can hit the ground running.
Job Purpose
To provide mechanical support to the Wireline operations team, ensuring all equipment is maintained, repaired, and certified in line with operational and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of Wireline equipment.
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out corrective actions efficiently.
Ensure all equipment is maintained in line with company and industry standards.
Support equipment preparation for offshore operations.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
Assist with equipment mobilisations/demobilisations when required.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
Desired Qualities/Qualifications
Essential Requirements
Proven experience as a Mechanic within an oil & gas environment.
Strong mechanical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
Experience maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
Preferred Requirements
Previous Wireline equipment experience (highly desirable).
Experience working in a workshop supporting offshore operations.
Relevant mechanical qualifications (e.g., SVQ/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
Forklift/Banksman certification (advantageous).
