Job Description
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing logistics activities including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Duties Include-
• Coordinate and manage transportation of goods from suppliers to customers.
• Work with suppliers and carriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
• Manage inventory levels and ensure accuracy of inventory data
• Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements
• Work closely with the Operations to understand the activity forecast and ensure the job requirements are met
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of goods
• Prepare shipping and export documentation as required
• Assist with customs compliance and regulatory requirements
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate records and files
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and optimize logistics performance
• Work towards improving the efficiency of the department
• Maintain good working relationships with Suppliers
• Create POs for procuring tools from Suppliers.
• Create FMS Shipping Tickets for shipments to rigs
• On call responsibilities as per scheduled rota
• Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by Materials & Logistics Manager
Desired Qualities/Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in logistics coordination, transportation, or related field
• Knowledge of transportation regulations, logistics practices, and inventory management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with any logistics management software
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Strong communication skills, including verbal, written and nonverbal communication
• Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
