Job Description
Our client, based in Sevenoaks, Kent, is looking to recruit two Field Service Engineers to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be home-based and travel daily to customer sites across the UK. You will use your technical expertise to calibrate, commission, service, and repair process weighing and measurement systems.
You will work with F1 & M1 test weights, stamped flow meters, force calibration rigs, and multi-function processors, and receive full training across the company’s product range, including belt weighers and boiler leak detection systems. Additional training will be provided in specialist calibration disciplines such as temperature, pressure, pH, conductivity, and magnet strength.
Key Responsibilities
• Calibrate, commission, and fault-find on-site process weighing systems
• Install and commission belt weighers and boiler leak detection systems
• Carry out calibration of temperature, pressure, pH, conductivity, and magnet strength instruments
• Perform off-site repairs of scales and balances at the Sevenoaks HQ
• Complete service reports and calibration certificates before leaving site
• Ensure full compliance with company HSE policies and procedures
• Support assembly and testing activities at HQ when required
• Provide weekend cover (1 in every 3 Saturdays)
• Work collaboratively with other engineers on joint service jobs
• Travel nationwide with regular overnight stays
Desired Qualities/Qualifications
• ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HNC preferred)
• Time-served engineer or equivalent hands-on field experience
• Strong background in servicing and calibrating process weighing equipment
• Proven fault-finding skills on weighing systems
• Confident using electrical diagnostic and calibration equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and documentation
• Full, valid UK driving licence
