Job Description

Tulloch Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Facilities Operative to join our client’s Housing and Property Services team. This is a hands-on role focused on delivering a high-quality cleaning and estate management service across multiple sites, ensuring environments are safe, clean, and well maintained at all times.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining service standards in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs), while promoting a strong health & safety culture and delivering excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver high standards of cleaning across all designated sites
Maintain communal indoor and outdoor areas to a safe and presentable standard
Respond promptly and professionally to customer queries and requests
Carry out estate management duties including:
Removal of litter, fly-tipped items, and hazardous waste (following safe procedures)
Cleaning of communal areas, carpets, and open spaces
Reporting repairs, graffiti, and anti-social behaviour
Conduct risk assessments and ensure all work is carried out safely
Promote and adhere to health & safety procedures at all times
Maintain and safely use equipment, reporting any faults or defects
Undertake vehicle checks and travel between sites as required
Test communal smoke detectors and maintain accurate fire safety logs
Support void property cleans and clearances

Desired Qualities/Qualifications

Skills & Experience
Previous experience in cleaning, facilities, or estate management is desirable
Strong awareness of health & safety practices (COSHH knowledge advantageous)
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach
Full UK driving licence preferred
