Job Description
Tulloch Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Fabricator for our client based in Blackburn. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy workshop with the potential for a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication of structural steel including beams, columns, frames, and secondary steel
Reading and working from technical and GA drawings
Marking out, cutting, drilling, and assembling steel sections (UBs, PFCs, SHS, CHS, angles)
Operating workshop machinery such as saws, drills, and grinders
Preparing materials and tack welding (MIG preferred)
Ensuring all work meets required tolerances and specifications
Assisting with general workshop duties, including loading/unloading
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
Desired Qualities/Qualifications
Requirements
Proven experience in structural steel fabrication
MIG welding experience preferred
Coding certification beneficial (not essential)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and practical skills
Good understanding of health & safety standards
Additional Information
Initial contract: 6–8 weeks
Potential for temp-to-perm position
