Drilling Supervisor

Job Description

We are recruiting a Drilling Supervisor for our client in Aberdeen, this role is based on a 3/3 rotation.

Please note that this is a PAYE position.

Drilling Supervisor will report to and work collaboratively with Drilling Superintendent to deliver the well objectives within budget, on schedule and without incident:
• Leads their designated drilling operation offshore to deliver the HSSE, business and operational objectives in full compliance with company policy, relevant standards and legislation
• Demonstrate and consistently apply the highest level of leadership in HSSE standards, practices and policies, actively participating in onsite HSSE programmes
• Manage onsite operations safely and efficiently, and lead field personnel to deliver the business objectives, in full compliance with company policies and procedures
• Monitor, evaluate and report daily operations including associated costs, variances and performance against the well programme objectives and third party contracts
• Ensure site team members have a clear understanding about the objectives of the operation and their roles and responsibilities in delivering these objectives
• Develop the onsite team and coach individuals to enhance their contribution to performance
• Deliver continuous performance improvement by efficient management of onsite resources and use of best practices
• Ensure onsite lessons are captured and shared effectively
• Coordinate and communicate with off-site personnel and resources to manage programme changes and deliver business objectives
• Ensure site personnel understand the Emergency Response Procedures and carry out regular drills
• For Platform operations :- Interface with platform management to ensure appropriate control of combined and simultaneous operation issues
• Commitment to the well planning and learning process through input into drilling procedures, forward programmes and active participation in company continuous improvement processes
• Incident reporting and investigation as appropriate

Desired Qualities/Qualifications

Essential
• Previous experience in a well site leadership position with an operator or drilling contractor
• Drilling Supervisor experience within Hydraulic Workover operations in the UKCS
• Experience with operational and safety programme issues
• Experience managing 3rd party contractors
• Calculation skills used for well site supervision
• Experience of managing and controlling operational costs
• Previous participation in continuous improvement and learning process
