Job Description

We have a requirement for a Business System Analyst for our client based in London. 

The successful candidate will be expected to understand the data structure of all the various systems used, what the interfaces are between these systems and how they enable the workflows used in execution today. A major component of the workscope will involve working with Microsoft Power Platform, bringing together PowerBI, Automate and Apps to further enhance the suite of applications and tools. In addition, the candidate will have excellent working knowledge of SharePoint, how to setup lists and build simple applications.

Duties will include -

• Data discovery
• Understand the multiple business systems being used to capture data, their attributes and structures
• Understand the interfaces across each of the different systems used and develop solutions to optimise inputs and outputs
• Understand the Integrated Well Construction Operating Model, it’s workflows and RACI Charts
• Data validation and solution proposal
• Develop and propose solutions to orchestrate workflows based on use-case requirements
• Develop interfaces between multiple systems (API etc.), develop consolidated visuals on PowerBI
• Document all development efforts to ensure traceability
• SharePoint development
• Be skilled in building applications using SharePoint technology, with front-ends such as angular or react

Desired Qualities/Qualifications

• High quality communication skills are essential to this role
• Proven experience with Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint
• Proven experience with Front-Ends such as Angular and React
• Attention to detail and ability to communicate changes to applications in a concise manner
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with 2 years in analytics related roles
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Direct Query module, especially in relation to PowerBI and Excel. Development on this platform in M (or at least the query builder), SQL and ODATA/APIs. Python knowledge is an advantage, but not essential
• Ability to operate in a fast paced and dynamic environment with periodic shifts in direction
• Comfort with ambiguity and eagerness to bring expertise to a new domain

This is a contract role working Monday through Friday 0800-1700.
