Job Description

This is an ongoing contract role based at our client’s location in Kingswells.  Reporting to the Mechanical Lead, the successful candidate will provide first line discipline support to the assets and coordination of key maintenance activities as part of the maintenance team.  Applicants should have a mechanical bias, must have 5+ years oil and gas experience and be able to travel offshore periodically.

• Respond as appropriate to discipline related queries and maintenance support requests
• Liaise with the engineering department to resolve technical queries in a timely manner
• Utilise SAP to coordinate service requests, work orders and associated maintenance
• Coordinate equipment repairs for relevant discipline area including process of dispersals, vendor liaison and associated logistics
• Coordinate urgent material requisitions, including vendor liaison and associated logistics
• Manage materials and liaise with warehouse regarding safety stock, slow movers and the disposal process
• Further develop equipment bill of materials in discipline area
• Coordinate and provide input to yearly vendor maintenance plans and vendor work pack process
• Provide input to the asset maintenance planning process as required
• Provide input and support to turnaround planning process as appropriate for discipline work scopes
• Liaise closely with the engineering group on maintenance engineering and other related activities
• Liaise closely with key vendors and contractors to ensure satisfactory level of service is continuously achieved
• Attend asset maintenance meetings to provide progress update of maintenance assigned activities
• Participate in the development and continuous improvement of maintenance strategies and development of long-term equipment plans
• Development of discipline specific budget and provide monthly stewardship
• Liaise closely with the procurement and warehouse management groups as appropriate
• Stand in for Asset Maintenance Coordinator where required
• Conduct offshore visits to the assets as required

Desired Qualities/Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
• Trade apprenticeship in technical discipline
• Engineering degree in appropriate discipline preferable or equivalent related experience and competency

Experience Level
• Proficient knowledge of on/offshore oil and gas related process, systems and equipment
• A good working knowledge of pumps, seals, bearings, gas turbines and gas compressors is a must
• 5 years working in or in support of an on/offshore operation
• Offshore experience
• Experience of using SAP (or equivalent) computerised maintenance management system
