Job Description

Our client based in Inverurie has a requirement for a Storekeeper.  This is a temporary role with an expected duration of 3 months initially.  The Storekeeper is responsible for the receipt and dispatch of equipment along with the operation of store systems and related processes.

Main responsibilities
• Forklift duties including the loading, unloading and storage of equipment
• Picking and packing of equipment requests and returns
• Process inventory transactions on inventory management systems inclusive of company and client owned inventories
• Perform goods receipt from physical checking to systems entry including barcode scanning and labels
• Participate in physical stock checks and reconciliations
• Monthly barcode cycle counts
• Communicate with client’s logistics groups on delivery and receipt of material

Desired Qualities/Qualifications

• Goods handling and materials control with warehouse/stores background
• Experience with 6Sigma 5S processes
• Inventory management and process control systems
• HMRC Customs and Excise procedures and regulation awareness
• Ability to work as part of a team and also independently unsupervised
• Forklift driving certificate - 10 T
• Basic computer skills in Excel and Word
• Demonstrate an enthusiastic, self-motivated and flexible approach to meeting operational requirments
