Job Description

To provide corporate support to the individual members of the Operations Management Team and their specific functions, and to develop, implement, maintain and update a Human Resources consultancy and advisory based service which underpins the strategic imperatives arising from corporate governance, legal compliance and business plan objectives.
• To provide the strategic interface to Senior Managers/Stakeholders, including Operations Managers and Key Client contacts, through the provision of high quality guidance and support.
• Coach, support, mentor and challenge managers/supervisors in the application of HR policies and practices, provide advice and guidance on complex HR issues in order to minimize risk and financial exposure
• To use workforce intelligence to identify people management requirements and performance issues and establish credibility as an expert in the strategic HR within an operational service
• Participate in employee relations issues
• Development and delivery of people management training interventions
• Exert a dynamic influence over stakeholders to establish credibility as an expert in strategic HR
• Assist in the recruitment and selection of appropriately competent supervisors and managers onshore
• Monitor the integrated HR/Payroll electronic database to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
• To work in partnership with managers in the development and maintenance of good working relationships with our Trade Union Partners
• Undertake a visitation plan for all offshore units
• To lead and participate as required in HR working groups involved in the development and promotion of HR policies and procedures
• Monitor the issuing of all contracts of employment including subsequent alterations
• To contribute to the direction and management of the HR service as a member of the UK HR Team

Desired Qualities/Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively by displaying excellent oral, written and presentation skills
• Ability to work on own initiative and to listen, negotiate and influence
• Track records in operating at a strategic and operations level in a HR field
• Proven experience in HR strategic and operational project work
• Previous experience of working in the Oil and Gas sector and associated terminology is essential
• Ability to go on offshore visits (Valid BOSIET including MIST and offshore medical essential)
• CIPD qualified or actively working towards gaining the qualification
• Deputise the Senior Operations Team Manager when required
