Job Description

Our client based in Kingswells has a requirement for an experienced Materials and Inventory Analyst on an ongoing basis to meet the needs of the business.  This role is designed to ensure inventory is readily available for use in the offshore plants whilst also ensuring inventory is maintained and lowered where possible.

• Ensure inventory is maintained accurately in SAP and complete any movements required in a timely manner
• Help in processing the methods created to reduce the company inventory balance such as consignment stock
• Attend meetings, where applicable, with production and drilling departments for process reviews, including reviewing inventory rationalisation and slow moving items in specific areas
• Produce monthly reports and presentation with detailed KPIs to Supply Chain Manager
• Create/maintain material masters using the SparesFinder program, when requested
• Provide internal training and support for SAP via the SAP super user role
• Oversee the MRP levels and integrate if the material masters have appropriate min/max stocking levels set to ensure availability and no overstocking occurs unnecessarily liaising with appropriate Engineers and Platform Material Coordinators
• Create and process stock disposal, discrepancy and revaluation process of stocked items
• Generate and process disposals of company surplus capital equipment or beyond economical repair stock items in line with the company disposal policy.  This also includes determining the most efficient way possible for disposal – i.e. sale through trading platform or auction house, disposal through bidding process or contracted skip
• Provide support to department to help identify the business need for current stock, including stock that can be used, are held for spares, critical items and items that can no longer be purchased from suppliers but are still required to hold in our stocks for offshore use in “Just in case” situations
• Advise engineers and offshore of potential onshore stock that can be modified as opposed to new
• Organise and support annual stock count for third party vendors and company owned warehouse, ensuring completion and reconciliation in the correct time frame
• Where possible, help to reduce third party vendor holdings by disposing of the stock at the vendor or bringing stock to company owned warehouse
• Monitor and update supply chain value generation tracker
• Where applicable, interview potential candidates for roles regarding SAP
• Facilitate customs and HMRC correspondence
• Approve and update holidays
• Create and update procedures for materials and inventory
• Project planning
• Any other duties as required through the supply chain team
• Creation of service requisitions, service entries and invoice approval
• Process flow mapping
• Fulfil HSSE responsibilities in line with the company HSSE statement of policy and management system
