Job Description

Our client based in Aberdeen has a requirement for an experienced Aviation Lead on an ongoing contract basis.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the running of the Aviation team ensuring the team delivers an effective service to the business by facilitating the safe and efficient movement of personnel and air freight to all of the company assets
• Aviation logistics focal point for daily planning activity including management of PAX and payload issues
• Aviation logistics focal point for maintenance of Vantage with regards to all flight planning for all PAX travel
• Deliver compliance of company aviation policies and procedures by communication with vendors and heliport contractor staff
• Attend aviation logistics meetings and forum groups
• Participate in emergency response duty rota
• Implement and manage the rotary schedule identifying and reporting areas that can be improved to reduce costs without impacting service delivery
• Production of weekly reports / KPIs and performance management information
• Maintain excellent working relationships with aviation operator(s)
• Work with internal stakeholders to determine the optimum efficient flying rotas to accommodate asset requirements
• Compliance with aviation ops manual processes and procedures
• Interface with aviation assurance organisations ensuring assurance and compliance with industry and legislative requirements are fully met and adhered
• Liaise with vendors to ensure all passengers are aware of and comply with company and flight operator procedures
• Tracking and management of no-shows
• Ensuring all companies travelling have full compliance of medicals, insurances and contact details
• Management of all air freight requirements in line with company flight operator procedures
• Identify innovation and collaboration opportunities
• Oversee D&A testing at the heliport as part of the drug and alcohol testing procedure
• Invoice checking and pre-approval
• Any other duties as required by company

• Superior aviation knowledge and experience
• Supervisory / Team Leader experience
• Working knowledge of aviation logistics operations and processes
• Vantage super user
• Well-developed communication and organisational skills
• Operationally and customer focused
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Ability to work under pressure
• Good attention to detail
• Good safety awareness
• Superior knowledge of Vantage, Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Outlook

Desirable

• Relevant Higher education, HNC, HND, Diploma or degree (Law, QS, Business Studies or similar)
