Job Description
• Responsible for the day to day management and operation of the transport department.
• Responsible for the delivery of high quality service to both internal and external clients
• Regularly liaise with clients, vendors and operational departments
• Be responsible in ensuring effective, efficient and financially acceptable utilisation of resources
• Supervision of a multi-disciplined team including 80 drivers
• Assist the operations manager in the compliation of performance reports and KPI’s.
• Ensure budgetary obligations are met by maximising profits and controlling costs
Desired Qualities/Qualifications
• Must be commercially aware with a high customer focus
• Sound understanding of HSEQ and transport legislation
• Previous transport operation experience required
• Must be computer literate
